We are a stockist of fabrics, meaning everything you see on our website is held in stock and ready to be cut and sent straight to you, your upholsterer, or curtain maker. We endeavour to despatch all orders the following working day to an order being placed. Listed below is information regarding our shipping methods, times and prices. If you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to email us. We will be happy to help with any query regarding the delivery of your fabrics and supplies. We have many years experience sending fabric rolls and are consistently looking for the best shipping rates and services to send parcels to our customers. As the majority of the parcels we send are over 1.2 metres in length, we are charged a higher delivery rate by the couriers. We try our best to keep our prices competitive and shipping costs for customers to a minimum. Unfortunately rolled fabric creates abnormal parcel sizes, this limits our options. To protect both you and us from the fraudulent use of credit and debit cards we reserve the right to check the validity of the payment card used and deliver to the official billing address.

Please note this is a signed for service. If you request for your order to be left in a safe place, or request a specific time, this is at your own risk but also at the discretion of the courier who are not the-millshop-online employees.

Possible Partial Refund Available.This Will Be Issued Should We Find Carriage Cheaper. If you are in a rush for your fabric or supplies, please give us a call and we can see if it is possible to speed up the shipment of your order. Please note all fabric orders to these areas will be folded.
International Customers
Due to Brexit and new regulations regarding shipping products into Northern Ireland and the EU commencing on 13th December 2024 we will be unable to ship directly to these Countries for the time being.

Delivery Costs
If you are unsure how much your parcel will weigh, the easiest thing to do is to add what you would like to order to your shopping basket and on the shopping basket page there is a section where you can put in your country and your postcode and it provides an exact quote.
The Following UK areas may come with a surcharge for delivery; London ULEZ, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Offshore Islands.
All couriers request a telephone number in case they have difficulty locating your address. NO ONE will contact you for any other reason. We DO NOT pass ANY of your details to anyone else.
All deliveries will require a signature by an adult over 18 years of age.

Velvet Fabric
Due to the nature of velvet with its raised pile it cannot be folded. All velvet orders will be dispatched rolled to maintain the quality of the product and will fall within the large parcel bracket of £6.95 carriage for mainland UK deliveries. Extended Area surcharges may apply for; London ULEZ, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Offshore Islands.
Packaging
At the-millshop-online we want you to receive your purchase in the same great condition that it left us. We only use good quality new materials for packaging and take great care to ensure the goods are packaged well.
In the unlikely event that an item should arrive damaged please be sure to sign for it as ‘damaged’ or refuse the delivery specifying `damaged’ and email us immediately. The signature must be by an adult over 18.
Receiving Your Fabrics
When you receive your fabric in ‘undamaged’ packaging, we suggest that you unwrap it immediately. Please inspect your goods very carefully. If you are using a third party or making yourself, please make sure that you are satisfied before the fabric is cut.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that you receive the goods in the best condition, in the unlikely event that you receive faulty goods, please email us immediately (within 7 days of delivery) and we will replace free of charge. Please note that no refund can be given once fabric has been cut, treated or altered in any way.
Privacy
Your details will only be used if the courier needs to contact you regarding delivery or to invite you to review our services on an independent review site. Apart from this, your contact details will not be passed on to any other companies for any other reasons and you will not receive marketing emails from us unless you sign up to our newsletter.

We offer no returns or exchanges after 28 days from date of purchase.
Here at The Millshop Online we take great effort to ensure the products we sell are represented as accurately as possible on screen through multiple images and text. However, colours on screens can vary, so on our fabrics and linings we offer a sampling service which we advise all customers to use prior to placing an order. This will satisfy yourselves that it is the correct fabric, colour tone, weave and finish for your project. If you do not order a fabric sample prior to the purchase, we cannot be held responsible for any variance in the fabric. Please be aware that colour representation of the fabrics on screen can be affected by many brightness variables and may show up differently on your devices.
When we dispatch our goods we always include a leaflet with your order asking you to check that the correct fabric and colour has been sent. Despite the fact that all fabrics are carefully checked, mistakes may occur when cutting lengths. If you are making this fabric up yourself or particularly if a third party is making up for you we suggest that you make all the necessary checks. Please advise us before any fabric is cut of any issues. We regret that once the fabric is cut and made up we cannot accept any responsibility for any errors or quality.
Please do call our customer helpline prior to purchasing, so we can advise you in any way and try to help with your decision making. Cut fabrics and linings which are cut specially to your requirements, printed to order fabrics and made to measure items unfortunately we are unable to refund or exchange.
Samples - colour and base cloth differences
Please be aware that samples are printed to give you a guide on colour, weight and texture of a fabric. Fabric is printed using the same colour file as the sample but minimal colour variations can occur. Design colours will appear differently when printed on different base cloths. Please be aware that shades will not be the same on different base clothes and we cannot be held responsible for the difference in colour and therefore do not offer refunds due to this. The Industry Standard allows between 5-10% shade difference. We do not offer refunds of fabrics that are within this Industry Standard shade difference.

Returning Fabric & any other cut or printed products -
Returns cannot be accepted for any fabrics, linings or any other cut products e.g. heading tapes and webbing (unless faulty) as they have been cut to your order requirements, therefore we strongly advise that you use our sampling service before purchasing any fabric so that you can be sure that the fabric is the correct one for your project. On each fabric page you can simply add a sample to your basket by clicking the order sample (18cm x 12cm) button.
Made to Measure Curtains, Blinds, Cushions and Tiebacks.
These are bespoke items made specifically to your measurements & requirements and are therefore non-returnable. Be sure to order a sample prior to ordering and watch our Measuring Guide Information.
General -
We cannot accept an item returned as faulty if the appropriate product care instructions have not been followed and the damage caused to the product is clearly due to wear and tear or misuse.
Returned items should be unused and must be returned in original packaging with any enclosed documentation. We will issue a full refund on receipt, excluding the original delivery charge. Alternatively, if preferred we will exchange the item.
Please note:
- Goods will only be accepted for return if they are despatched within 28 days from date of purchase, unless we have notified you otherwise.
- The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore, for your own protection we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
- The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
- Delivery charges are only refundable where goods are faulty, and a refund is made.
- If you exchange a product the delivery cost of sending the new product is chargeable.
- Refunds can take up to 3-5 working days to process.
